This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to purchases made directly from Ravencrest Press unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Publishing packages, editing, design, production, consulting, and related professional services are eligible for cancellation and refund only before work begins.
Once Ravencrest begins work, payments are nonrefundable except where otherwise required by law or expressly stated in a written agreement.
Work is considered to have begun when Ravencrest or an assigned contractor performs any project activity, including:
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to:
Email: info@ravencrestpress.com
The request should include:
A cancellation is not effective until Ravencrest confirms receipt.
No refund will be issued after work begins.
When Ravencrest voluntarily approves an exception, it may deduct:
Approval of one exception does not require Ravencrest to approve future exceptions.
Deposits and retainers reserve project capacity and may become nonrefundable once work begins, resources are assigned, or third-party expenses are incurred.
The applicable proposal, invoice, or service agreement may contain additional deposit terms.
Digital products are final sale once delivered, accessed, or downloaded, except where:
Customers experiencing a technical problem should contact Ravencrest so a replacement file or reasonable technical assistance can be provided.
Physical books and merchandise may not be returned merely because the customer changes their mind unless Ravencrest expressly authorizes the return.
Customers should report damaged, defective, or incorrect products within seven calendar days of confirmed delivery.
The customer may be required to provide:
When Ravencrest confirms a qualifying issue, it may provide a replacement, correction, store credit, or refund, as appropriate.
Normal variations in color, paper, print alignment, trim, or monitor display are not necessarily defects.
Original shipping charges are nonrefundable unless Ravencrest shipped the wrong product or applicable law requires otherwise.
Return-shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless Ravencrest confirms that the item was defective, damaged before delivery, or incorrect.
Customized products, author copies, special print orders, personalized products, and made-to-order items are nonrefundable after production begins unless they are materially defective or incorrect because of Ravencrest’s error.
Payments are not refundable when project delays result from:
Books or products purchased through Amazon, bookstores, distributors, online retailers, or other third parties are governed by that seller’s refund and return policies.
Refund requests for third-party purchases must be directed to the original seller.
Customers should contact Ravencrest before initiating a chargeback so the issue can be reviewed.
Initiating a chargeback does not cancel contractual payment obligations. Ravencrest may provide contracts, approvals, communications, proof of work, delivery records, and transaction documents to the payment processor when responding to a payment dispute.
Nothing in this policy limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.
